Lake Tahoe 2015

When Steve passed away last year we were gifted a stay at a fellow firefighters cabin

at South Lake Tahoe.

We were greeted by this thoughtful basket of goodies by the owners.

 We had full days of enjoying Lake Tahoe;

Enjoyed plenty of beach time and water frisbee

Our last evening at Lake Tahoe was spent remembering Steve and celebrating him earning his wings.  We had a wonderful time on the M.S. Dixie II sunset dinner cruise and were treated to a stunning sunset!!!

(there may have been a little editing on this picture, but it was truly an amazing sunset)

Lake Tahoe really is so beautiful and being tucked away with my little family was so comforting…

We laughed, we cried, we hugged but mostly we loved on one another –

We all need that so much, we support and lift each other up.

We have always been a close family but I feel that our loss has brought us even closer!

I hope we continue to be as fortunate as we have been to spend quality time together,

and as for me…

I’m going to follow Zac’s lyrics because you just never know!
