I am thrilled to announce that I was selected to be a 2015 ambassador for “The Mermaid Club”!!! The Mermaid Club is a relatively new club, established in September 2013 and is still evolving. It is an online community to promote … Continue reading →
I saw this on a running blog that I follow; RunnersOnTheGo and wanted to share – I loved all of the quotes shared, although I’ve heard them or seen them before it was a good reminder of what running/fitness is all about!!!
I encourage you to take the time to watch this 2:31 minute video for a little motivation ~
Be sure to watch to the end for a little laugh!!! Have a great day!!
I had heard about the Hot Chocolate race series for couple of years and decided to give it a try this year! I was looking forward to a fun destination run too!! San Francisco was the closest to me so off I went… This was my first time driving solo for a long distance, but I was determined to do this myself and build my confidence. I wasn’t completely alone… I had my trusty snuggle buddy Simba with me and he was the perfect co-pilot 🙂
After visiting the race expo and picking up my bib and ‘swag bag’, which included a zip front hoodie (SCORE!) I headed to the hotel. The Stanyan Park hotel is located directly across the street from Golden Gate Park, which was the start and finish for the race. Although I am only a two hour drive from San Francisco/Golden Gate Park I had never been to Golden Gate Park!! It is truly a gem… I hope to make it back and spend more time wandering around and enjoying all that it has to offer!
This was the first chance I had to show off my Ink n’ Burn kit!! Here I am with my daughter at the start line:
After completing your race, by the way I PR’d this race 🙂 you are given a bowl filled with a cup of hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, a marshmallow, banana, pretzels and rice krispie treat.
This is what happens when you dip your banana into the chocolate fondue…
I would definitely recommend this race to you! Check out the many locations it is offered!!
This was a great day for a run and it was awesome to run this with my daughter by my side, well not really as I was usually BEHIND her LOL!!! She has legs much longer than her Momma, but it was fun to be there together ~
This year I would like to find my mojo again, to complete a couple of half marathons and love my life again.
It would also be super duper awesome if I also motivated others this year. It’s not a resolution, though, just a reminder to myself to try and have the best year yet because I’m worth it.
The thing I am looking forward to most this year is being happy.
I’ll use the one thing that truly gets me out of bed in the morning which is loving myself to help me get up, get moving and get after my #NoExcuses 2015.
Speaking of excuses (ahem), my very favorite excuse is “not feeling it” or not feeling safe and I have used it.
I vow to move my body and be more healthy this year even if it means I have to run in the dark.
Even if my alarm clock gets eaten by the dog in the middle of the night, I’ll still persevere.
I will stop blaming my lose.
I know that any spin, running, skating is better than sitting on the couch!!
I will reward myself with new workout gear <wink>
No Excuses 2015 has just begun and already I am imagining myself a winner. I can’t wait to rock an action jersey from Augusta Active. I can’t wait till my sweaty friends are jealous of how fresh, clean and smooth I am between workouts with help from ShowerPill body wipes. I can see myself rocking spinal balance in a new double chummie tank from Actio926 and looking fit and fly while doing it. And of course, I’ll be taking my workouts to the next level and improving my core balance with my new ActivMotion Bar to help me train for my next half marathon race with Sasquatch Racing.
Oh, and let’s not forget how amazing my #InknBurn tanks will smell during my of workout after washing with some WIN Detergent. And lastly, I’ll keep rocking my 2015 with clean eats and nutrition from Beaming with Health!
